Welcome to the 3rd Galway Food Festival - five days of fantastic food and events in Galway on the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.


Celebrating Galway as a good food destination and with a strong a focus on artisan, seasonal and local produce, the festival showcases the best that Galway city and county has to offer.


Galway Food Festival aims to highlight the diverse food culture in Galway and the many ways in which this culture can help people to eat better and make good food a permanent part of their lives. We hope that the festival will leave a permanent legacy of food education, good food provenance and a spirit of a greater culinary community.


This year we also want to highlight Galway’s location along the new Wild Atlantic Way, the captivating coastal drive of Ireland’s western seaboard. There are many wonderful food outlets and producers along this tourist trail, which stretches from Donegal to Cork. The planned international promotion of this route will undoubtedly bring more food tourists to our city and county and further strengthen Galway’s wonderful food culture and reputation.
