Galway Fishery Manager Seamus Hartigan will walk you through the history of the fishery and how it used to operate, taking in the Salmon Fishery Tower, the now defunct salmon traps and the current recreational wild salmon fishery at the weir. Here the tour can observe the anglers and hopefully get a glimpse of a spring salmon in its natural environment.
The tour will culminate in the Corrib Tea Rooms for lunch and to savour some salmon dishes. In association with; Inland Fisheries Ireland and Dúchas na Gaillimhe.
